The official media of the anime “SSSS.GRIDMAN“, “SSSS.DYNAZENON” and the movie Gridman Universe have revealed to the public the upcoming special event where a “POP UP SHOP” will be opened. The event will showcase various products inspired by the characters Rikka Takarada and Akane Shinjou, who will seek to captivate the hearts of fans by wearing different outfits that will highlight all their attractiveness and beauty.
Along with this curious announcement, the official media of the Gridman franchise has presented an incredible promotional image for this special event.
Gridman Universe: Rikka and Akane make otakus fall in love with different oufits
The illustration features Rikka Takarada and Akane Shinjou in various outfits, including a Halloween costume, Christmas costume, casual dress, sportswear and an elegant classic dress. All these illustrations will be used in the products that will be available at the “POP UP SHOP” store.
This special event will be held from February 10th to 20th of this year and the commercial hours will be from 11:00 AM until 20:00 PM. Additionally, some of the products that will be exhibited at the “POP UP SHOP” will be the following: Acrylic Card, Iona Board, Clear Case, Acrylic Keychain and Acrylic Figurines.
It should be recalled that the movie “Gridman Universe” began to be shown in theaters in Japan on March 24, 2023. The animation studio Trigger was in charge of its production and the film lasted approximately 2 hours. As the name suggests, the film brings together the characters of “SSSS.GRIDMAN” and “SSSS.DYNAZENON” in the same universe.
In SSSS.GRIDMAN, Yuuta Hibiki wakes up in Rikka Takarada’s room and realizes two things: he has no memories and he can hear a mysterious voice calling his name from a nearby room. Upon investigating, he finds a robot who introduces himself as Hyper Agent Gridman behind an old computer screen. To Yuuta’s surprise, Rikka can neither hear Gridman nor see the ominous monsters hovering in a thick fog enveloping the city outside.
A new giant monster appears in the city and begins to wreak havoc. Amidst the confusion, Yuuta is once again drawn into the old computer and merges with Gridman. Suddenly, he finds himself in the middle of the battle and is forced to confront the monster. Together with Rikka and his classmate Shou Utsumi, Yuuta forms the “Gridman Alliance” to defeat the monsters plaguing the city and discover who is responsible for their appearance.
