Jujutsu Kaisen, although the anime ended its broadcast some time ago, it continues to be talked about every week, being that its manga continues to be published with new installments, where they are also in one of the most critical moments of its history, so each new installment, as well as each new panel is the subject of discussion. As many will know, the main characters are fighting against the supreme evil of the story, but in the latest installment, the reappearance of one of the key characters has unleashed chaos within the community. WARNING, this note will contain spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
Satoru Gojo returns to Jujutsu Kaisen, albeit in a surprising fashion
Although since chapter 260 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, fans of the franchise have been shocked by one of the last panels that seemed to show the return of Satoru Gojo, it is now with the leaks of the next chapter, the 261 that will be released next Monday, that several doubts have been resolved. But at the same time it opened many more questions, the first one being to know how Gojo really returned, because although he did, this was only possible thanks to Yuta, another of the most important characters of the franchise, took over his body.
This is why actually Satoru Gojo as such did not revive from the dead, but Yuta performed a body-switching spell in order to achieve this and this is explained in the same chapter, where this was actually the secret plan that would be used if all the other wizards were defeated, among them Gojo himself. And it is that in this moment in which we are shown how everything happened, we see that the curse that accompanies Yuta, Rika, devours Kenjaku’s body, giving him the possibility for the sorcerer to copy the so precious ability to exchange bodies.
Although this seems to be the supreme technique with which to face Sukuna and defeat him, it has many drawbacks, the main one being that, although Yuta is in Gojo’s body and can perform all his attacks, especially his domain expansion, he can only do it for about five minutes. That is why we will have to see the next chapters of the manga to know what will be the end of this epic battle, being that the same closing of the 261st issue predicts that the battle continues, since both Yuta (in Gojo’s body), as Sukuna, activate their respective domain expansions.
As expected, the internet has been revolutionized by the “return” of Gojo to Jujutsu Kaisen, and as we mentioned, since the end of chapter 260 many fans were creating theories of what really could have happened, if it was really Gojo who had revived, if it was Kenjaku or Yuta himself. This shows that the fans of the series were not far off in their theories, and a combination of all these theories was what finally ended up happening, making many happy, but also shocking others, who believed that Gojo’s role in Jujutsu Kaisen was already over. Now we can only wait for the new chapters to learn more.
For those who do not know the story of Jujutsu Kaisen, it presents a world where curses exist and where sorcerers are in charge of dealing with them. Our protagonist is Yuji Itadori, a high school student with a great talent in his physique, but one day his life will change forever, because by accident he finds himself in a dangerous situation, where he feeds on the body of one of the strongest and most evil beings in history, Sukuna. Now, with this being living inside him, he must not only learn to coexist with this latent danger, but also improve his skills for the moment in which it becomes present.
For this, he goes to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, where he will learn everything he needs to become a sorcerer, while many enemies will try to get hold of him, since they hope to revive Sukuna and start an era where curses dominate the planet. In addition, during his training, the same sorcerers will also look for Sukuna’s fingers so that they do not fall into the wrong hands, in a story full of action, emotion and combats of the highest level.
