It seems that the anime adaptation of the manga Go-Toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) has a special surprise in store for fans, as the official Twitter/X account of the anime series has announced that “New Information” will be released on September 6.
Go-Toubun no Hanayome to release new information soon
Without going into too much detail about the new information that could be released in a few days, fans of the franchise have been certain that this has to do with the franchise’s new anime project, titled Go-Toubun no Hanayome*, which was announced at the end of April this year.
A promotional video? New information about its production? At the moment it is only speculation and the official Twitter/X account of the Go-Toubun no Hanayome anime has started a countdown that features an individual illustration of the quintuplets.
The new anime project of the Go-Toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) franchise is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on September 20 this year, with some limited screenings. This project will feature an original story supervised by Negi Haruba, author of the manga, who will be in charge of both the narrative and other aspects of the anime. It should be noted that the plot of this new anime will focus on the honeymoon trip of the protagonist, Fuutarou Uesugi, with the quintuplets.
The production team of the new anime project Go-Toubun no Hanayome is as follows: Masato Jinbo will be in charge of directing. Bibury Animation Studio will be in charge of the production of the anime. Negi Haruba is credited as one of the scriptwriters along with Masato Jinbo. Masato Katsumata will be in charge of the character designs.
Go-Toubun no Hanayome, also known as “The Quintessential Quintuplets” in the West, is a romantic comedy manga created by Negi Haruba. The manga began publication in Kodansha’s Shuukan Shonen Magazine in August 2017, reaching its end in February 2020. In addition, Kodansha Publishing has released a total of 14 compilation volumes, including a special volume numbered 14.5.
The anime adaptation of the manga “Go-Toubun no Hanayome” premiered in Japan on January 10, 2019. This adaptation consisted of 2 seasons, totaling 24 episodes and included a movie titled “Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome” and a special episode produced by SHAFT animation studio.
It is important to mention that the first season was produced by the animation studio Tezuka Productions, while the second season experienced a change of studio, being produced by Bibury Animation Studios. The series was aired legally and simultaneously in America through the Crunchyroll platform, and has an English dubbing.
