Genshin Impact released a few hours ago its long awaited version 5.0 that brought with it the new region of Natlan, being that a lot of stories, but especially characters have arrived with this update, so fans already have more than one reason to play the Hoyoverse title. And what many do not know is that several of these new characters have a strong connection with the anime, being that very recognized seiyuus lent their voice to give life to these and below we share some of those who are already confirmed officially.
Mualani, Kinich and more Genshin Impact characters that share voice with the anime
With its most recent update 5.0, the popular gacha-style video game Genshin Impact has surprised with a lot of new content for players to continue living an exciting adventure in the world of Teyvat, in this case with the addition of Natlan, the land of fire. And as part of this new characters made their debut, some already playable and others confirmed in the future or just made their appearance as part of the story, being that many of these for those who do not know share a great similarity with the anime: their seiyuus, and is that these characters will sound familiar to fans, being that below we share them:
Kachina (Yurika Kubo)
Kachina is one of the first characters that the player meets once arriving to Natlan, there we will know a little more about this girl, who has a dream that she will seek to achieve, in this case with a little help from the Traveler himself. She is played by Yurika Kubo, a seiyuu who has already worked in other gacha titles such as Azur Lane (USS Cavalla) or The Goddess of Victory: Nikke (Noir).
But she has also been a recurring voice in the anime world, having worked in works such as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai as the voice of Kaede Azusagawa and is currently working in one of the anime of the season My Deer Friend Nokotan, being the voice in this case of Neko Nekoyamada.
Mualani (Nao Toyama)
Another of the girls that we will find in our journey in Natlan will be Mualani, a very energetic young woman, belonging to the Village of the Springs of this region and that with her tanned skin has managed to quickly become the “waifu” of a large number of players. In this case, who is the seiyuu of the young girl is Nao Toyama, a voice actress well known in the world of anime where she has voiced a variety of characters, such as Ruka Sarashina from the popular show Rent-A-Girlfriend or Suma from Demon Slayer.
Currently, in addition to being the voice of this character from Genshin Impact, she is known for being the voice of Catherine Sabathra in Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture, so many anime fans, both past and present, will be more than familiar with this new character from the Hoyoverse game.
Kinich and Ajaw (Noriaki Sugiyama and Junko Takeuchi)
Kinich and Ajaw is a duo that is presented together with Mualani in the story of Genshin Impact, being that the first one is a young black-haired man with different details in his green clothes and a very calm personality, different from Ajaw, a small being that accompanies him and that stands out for his 8-bit style. Undoubtedly, they have two of the most important seiyuus within Genshin Impact, since Kinich is voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama and Ajaw by Junko Takeuchi, the former being the voice of Sasuke Uchiha, while the latter is none other than Naruto Uzumaki himself.
It is thanks to this that the two most significant characters of the Naruto franchise meet again, at least with their seiyuus within Genshin Impact, with a wink that will leave more than surprised fans who did not know this information. In addition, seeing them interact within the game will bring back more than one memory, since Kinich and Ajaw’s personalities are very reminiscent of Sasuke and Naruto respectively.
Mavuika (Mikako Komatsu)
Mavuika is perhaps the most important character introduced in this 5.0 update of Genshin Impact, and she is the Pyro Archon of the Natlan region, one of the most powerful deities in the game world and as expected thanks to its design has captivated more than one fan. Who gives voice to this new “waifu” is Mikako Komatsu, who for those who don’t know her surely heard some of her characters, since she has given life to other girls like Maki Zenin from Jujutsu Kaisen, Gomo-chan from Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro or Susamaru in Demon Slayer.
Iansan (Ayaka Ohashi)
Iansan is another character who made her appearance in Natlan’s story, which surprised with a very detailed design that has caught the attention of more than one player of Genshin Impact. As for the voice actress who gives life to this character is Ayaka Ohashi, who worked in series such as Sound! Euphonium as the voice of Tsubame Kamaya and currently she can also be heard as the voice of Nekoma Hirune in VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral after Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream.
Chasca (Yūko Kaida)
Chasca is one of the new “waifus” who also came to Genshin Impact as part of the Natlan region, showing herself as a very intelligent girl who thinks each of her movements with a coldness that allows her to stand out in combat or in any kind of situation. Yūko Kaida is the seiyuu who brings her to life and who is recognized in the anime world for being the voice of Yu Bachira in Blue Lock, Ah-Duo in The Apothecary Diaries or Sachiko Juraku in Kakegurui Twin.
