Version 5.2 of Genshin Impact brings a wave of exciting events and rewards for players, with a variety of gachapons, challenges and new content promising to keep adventurers busy. From exclusive characters to exploration events, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of this update.
Genshin Impact Version 5.2 Exclusive Gachapons: ‘Crimson Shot’, ‘Between Light and Shadow’ and ‘Divine Incarnation’.
The new version of Genshin Impact introduces two promotional gachapons that increase the chances of obtaining exclusive characters and weapons:
- Crimson Shot’ character gachapon: Available from release until 10 December 2024, this gachapon increases the chance of obtaining Chasca, the “Peacekeeper of the Firmament” (Anemo), as well as 4-star characters such as Ororon, Sacarosa and Barbara. It is important to note that Chasca will not be available in the permanent gachapon after the event, but Ororon’s character will be.
- Between Light and Shadow’ Character Gachapon: During this event, players will have more chances to obtain characters such as Lyney and other 4-star favourites. As with the Crimson Shot, some characters will be integrated into the permanent gachapon at the end of the event, such as Ororon.
- Divine Incarnation’ Weapon Gachapon: This gachapon focuses on exclusive weapons, increasing the chance of obtaining the “Buitreastral Crimson Feather” and “The First Great Number of Magic”, as well as other featured weapons such as the “Return of the Waves”, “Flute”, “Flute”, “Sword of Time” and “Spear of Favonius”. These weapons offer powerful bonuses that can significantly enhance your characters’ abilities.
Character Testing Event: New Sensations
For the duration of the gachapones, Genshin Impact players can participate in the ‘New Sensations’ event, which allows players to try out fixed line-ups with featured characters. Completing these challenges awards additional rewards, offering an excellent opportunity to experiment with new teams.
Challenges and Exploration: Temporary Events
Genshin Impact update 5.2 also brings a series of temporary events offering unique rewards:
- Scrolls of Iktomiclarividence: From 28 November to 16 December 2024, this event unlocks progressive game modes that allow players to obtain the exclusive ‘Calamity of Eshu’ weapon and other valuable rewards.
- Paws Convoy: From 22 November to 2 December 2024, this event challenges players to search for animals using the Engraved Mirror, with protogems and other prizes up for grabs.
Exploration Rewards and Tribal Anecdotes
Genshin Impact players can explore new areas in Natlan, unlocked after the update, for additional rewards. In addition, ‘Tribal Anecdotes from the Plumafiora Tribe’ offer protogems and upgrade materials for completing missions within the set timeframe, and will be available until 10 December 2024.
Summoning of the Wise: Contestation Mode and Rampage Battle Mode
Version 5.2 of Genshin Impact introduces unique game modes such as the ‘Showdown Mode: Automated Ingenuity’ and the ‘Red Hot: Unbridled Battle’ event. Both events offer special challenges with performance-based rewards.
- Contested Mode:
You will have to choose random character cards and reinforcements to fight several matches in a row. Before each match, you can play an event or equipment card to continuously strengthen the characters, or adjust the position of the character cards.
At the start of combat, the characters of both players will automatically fight from left to right. A new ATQ attribute has been added to character cards, the higher the character’s ATQ the more damage they will inflict. In this battle mode, Elemental Reactions and various card effects have been adjusted.
- Red-hot: Battle out of all proportion
Once the event starts, go to Prince in the Cat’s Tail Tavern and choose the challenges you want to participate in. This event is made up of 4 challenges, each with different rules and you must defeat the enemies in the challenge to earn the corresponding points in a limited number of rounds. So you will have to defeat as many enemies as possible to earn more points and get the rewards corresponding to the score achieved.
