The world of VTubers has gained great relevance in recent years and it is not new to see them in different collaborations in various media, either inside or outside Japan, captivating their fans in every corner of the world. As is the case of one of their most recent collaborations, nothing less than between Hololive and one of the most representative teams of American baseball.

On May 31, 2024, the official Twitter/X account of Hololive’s production announced a collaboration with the “Los Angeles Dodgers”, one of the most emblematic baseball teams in the United States, which has a solid fan base. This has left more than one fan stunned by the magnitude of the announcement and sets a precedent for the company.
The event in question is called “Hololive night” and will take place on July 5, 2024 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California at 7:10 PM (PDT). Also, from the group’s official YouTube channel, more details of the event were shared in a live stream starring Usada Pekora and Garw Gura. Tickets for the event can be purchased from the Dodgers‘ official website, and in order to purchase tickets for the event it is necessary to enter the code “HOLOLIVE” after selecting the date of the event. It is also worth mentioning that tickets began to be sold on May 31 at 9:00 PM (PDT) and come with a pack of three thematic cards. Ticket prices vary depending on the area of the stadium and can range from $51 to $167.
The news took both VTubers and Dodgers fans by surprise and the comments were not long in coming. However, this is not the first collaboration they have had with a baseball team, as last year they starred in one with the Tokyo Giants team in which a large part of the cast of the Hololive group was present. In addition, exclusive merchandising was created for the event, such as the presentation of 10 cards in which the VTubers wear the team’s uniform.
