The sensational RPG game “Guardian Tales” has surprised us all by announcing that Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will be part of its latest collaboration. The video game plans to take us into a story with completely new characters, with an event that will be divided in two, where the first part will be released on January 7, 2025 to January 21, 2025 and the second half on January 21, 2025 to February 4, 2025, the latter being the final day of the collaboration.

The “Guardian Tales” event will feature an original storyline in which characters from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will find themselves trapped in a dimensional rift that transports them to the Guardian Tales universe. Throughout the narrative, players will have the opportunity to accompany Frieren, Fern and Stark on their adventure as they search for a way to return to their original world.
During the event, various adventures and challenges will be explored by these heroes, who, disoriented and in an unfamiliar environment, will face new challenges as they try to find a solution to their situation. The experience will offer players a unique fusion of both worlds, with a storyline that blends the best of both franchises for new and exciting adventures.
The “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” x “Guardian Tales” event will feature a number of rewards, including: Stark Warrior and Stark Axe x 1, enough Evolution Stone to evolve the Stark Warrior to 5★, Stark Warrior costume x 1, Frieren costume x 1.
Similarly, it is expected to have a live event, the “LIVE EVENT” where several special items will be available for purchase, such as the item that changes the appearance of Princess Heavenhold and the collaboration card. In addition, it is expected that in one of the special events one of the main rewards will include Warrior Stark’s exclusive weapon x6 and Fern’s costume x1.
The “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” x “Guardian Tales” collaboration will include a short short story, which will be unlocked once stage 2 of world 2 has been completed. It is important to note that, at the end of the collaboration period, the short story will no longer be replayable. Also, at the end of this period, it will not be possible to obtain the Purple Coin or the Short Story Star Piece, so it is recommended to take advantage of the event before it comes to an end to obtain these exclusive items.
Exclusive playable characters in this collaboration will include: Frieren, Fern and Stark. It is worth mentioning that multiple improvements were made to “Guardian Tales” for this event, below we share with you some comments from one of the developers:
“Our goal was to facilitate access to the Gold level when playing for the first time in the Colosseum by improving the AI match condition. Also, our goal was to avoid unpleasant experiences when surprisingly encountering overly powerful enemies by improving the AI balance and make it compete against enemies that gradually become stronger.”
