Fate

Fate players showcase their knowledge in entrance exams

Fate is undoubtedly one of the most famous franchises not only in its country of origin, Japan, but also internationally. This has earned it a whole series of adaptations to different formats, allowing it to continue extending its universe, which is far from over. Regularly, the franchise has new animated adaptations and, of course, video games, but not only surprises us with these projects, because its fans have a lot to say about it.

Fate is synonymous with culture and history

Fate Grand Order

Much has been said about the franchise, but the most relevant aspect of this series, which began as a visual novel, is undoubtedly its plot. The story unfolds in a world of fantastic adventures full of magic and epic confrontations. At first it may seem like just another game of the same type, but what makes it peculiar is the fact that it is based in a world of magicians, who are in charge of summoning spirits to fight in a tournament and be the winner.

These magicians have at their disposal a servant, among the diversity of spirits, we can find many references in their designs, personality or many other elements. So they are clearly inspired by multiple historical, literary and popular culture characters in general. It is not surprising to find some that remind us of a legendary hero.

Saber Fate/Zero Fanart 2

There are many facts, dates and names within the general culture, of course many of these correspond to history classes, but who says that this can not be learned outside the classroom? Well, on this occasion, some kids who were about to take their entrance exam to universities in Japan, noticed some rather curious questions that they did not expect to see.

In the History section they found questions that were listed as difficult, such were in their books, but even the teachers were surprised to learn that they were finally included in an entrance test. Some of them referring to mythology, for example, what is the middle name of the God of dance? The answer is: Shiva Nataraja, Hindu god. Something that was easy for Fate players to answer.

Da Vinci Chan De Fate Grand Or 1

A Fate/Grand Order player commented that another of the answers can be found in the videogame, because when asked to name the wife of Prince Rama, protagonist of the Ramayana, the correct answer is Sita, who appears as a character in the saga. Some may find this surprising; however, this is a clear example of a very well done work, where not everything is fiction and that obviously has a positive impact on the lives of fans of the saga.

The comments were not long in coming and they wrote some experiences in which they highlighted their knowledge thanks to Fate. Some described that by not having studied for some tests and even not researching about certain topics, they put to the test everything they learned from the franchise, in the end, they managed to pass and even said they were proud to know the correct answers.

It is true that not everything is fiction in Fate, but it should not be taken as a completely reliable and truthful source. What should be recognized is the fact that it makes the story extremely interesting to understand. Finally, knowledge is power. Tell us, do you have any similar experience with Fate?
