The long awaited Elden Ring DLC has been formally presented today, as the official Bandai Namco Youtube account has presented a spectacular trailer that lets us see many things. So FromSoftware fans have been amazed thanks to these incredible images, not to mention that we have seen new areas within the midlands in addition to also observe new area bosses.
Elden Ring Shadows of the ERDTREE has unveiled a spectacular trailer that has grabbed the internet’s attention.
We have been allowed to see in a trailer long awaited by us fans, how the great director Hidetaka Miyazaki has given life to this incredible DLC, we have witnessed that in the intermediate lands there is still unexplored territory, so the Elden Ring game is not dead and continues to surprise impressively.
In the images shown in the trailer we are shown that the Elden Ring midlands are not exactly devastated by the calamities that struck it in the base game where we started. So presumably, in such a case, there is a kind of time travel, as happened in Dark Souls 1, and we know that could have happened in a particular time.
Well, if we look closely at the trailer, we will see that we are presented with unexplored wastelands in the base game, but also new enemies and above all, enemies that are mentioned to us that were defeated by the time our protagonist is already in the adventure of the midlands. So with hasty conclusions we won’t really know what the DLC has in store for us until the day it comes out.
Without a doubt, this new journey to rediscover the midlands will be filled with some pretty awesome adventures, not to mention that we’ve been given a glimpse of new weapons, spells and most of all …. an automatic fire crossbow! Undoubtedly the weapon that many players will start getting at the beginning of this Elden Ring DLC.
The trailer that was presented to us today has captured the attention of the internet users, because let’s remember that another important event had been announced, but without a doubt this revelation has completely eclipsed all the events in the community today.
Not to mention that they have saved the best of all this announcement for last, because not content with giving us the collector’s edition of the base game in its year of release, now also the DLC will have a collector’s edition, with what, so far, we know as a mysterious character for the story of Shadows of the ERDTREE.
Unlike the collector’s edition of the base game, this collector’s edition will include the download code of the DLC and with it also the soundtrack of this new adventure through the midlands, so you must already have the base game of Elden Ring to enjoy the DLC. The collector’s edition includes again a figure of one of the zone bosses, it will also include a hardcover art book.
While the collector’s edition feels, to some extent, a little “empty” of content, remember that we are talking about a DLC and not a full game, so it is normal that this feeling is somewhat strange.
No doubt FromSoftware has taken great care in this DLC and will undoubtedly bring hours of exploration to those who had already finished the game, and for all those new players who delve into the lands in between this will be practically a new and huge experience.
