Eiken (Eiken: Eikenbu yori Ai wo Komete), a work that, for those who don’t know, was one of the pioneers in promoting the harem genre, spicy and daring hand in hand with comedy in the 2000s. Although the whimsical content has always existed within the industry and since a long time ago, it is from the 2000s approximately, where the concept of harem and daring comedy emerged. Among them, Eiken was one of the most representative, and now its manga is back in the form of a remake, which also has as its main attraction the fact that it is made by an AI.
Eiken is back with a remake of the manga made mostly with AI.
The official site of Manga Kingdom (a site with more than 10,000 free manga and e-comics) through its official Twitter/X account recently announced that it will have available on its platform the 5 new volumes of the incredible and promising remake of Eiken’s digital manga. But that’s not all, since on their official website they have made available the 1st volume to enjoy it in its entirety, as well as a small trial reading of volumes 2 to 5.
In this new project all the characters look very renewed, fresh and with a much better design than the animated adaptation. Definitely, this is a plus to give the story a new opportunity. Eiken already had a beautiful main waifu with a very good physique, now in this new material we can see her with a design that exponentially increases her beauty.
Something that is quite striking is that this material is spreading that it was mostly made by artificial intelligence, could it be that the AI has managed to restructure in a better way this whimsical story? If you are interested in getting the 5 volumes of this new version of a little known classic like Eiken, you can get it here. What we can tell you is that we have already read the first volume and it sticks to the initial plot, everything that happens in the first manga and ovas happens again here, but increasing the graphics and details in the “rikolinos” moments.
Let’s remember what exactly happened with Eiken, this was a work that had its anime and manga in the first years after 2000. It has an animation style just like many classics of the 90’s, that’s where the first point to analyze comes. Seiji Matsuyama’s work has a polished, fine and quite “defined” design in every panel you look at, a design that was not transferred to the anime, because the quality drops significantly, although it still retains the key moments rikolinos, the definition of the waifus is not the same. Something that was not to the liking of the fans at the time of watching the anime.
On the other hand, Eiken is not liked by fans because of its format, since it is only 2 ovas of less than 30 minutes where the typical story of a common male protagonist who has absolutely nothing to stand out for is told. By chance, he meets by accident the prettiest waifu of the whole series and she falls madly in love with him, while as the story progresses this guy gets more and more in love.
The story today might seem simple, with nothing new, empty, boring and with an unmemorable protagonist. In its time, whoever discovered this title, will know that it was one of the works that dared to have spicy scenes and waifus with a “big heart” developing a comedy story of the most “whimsical”, which gave birth to the so saturated nowadays, harem. This news of interest has put fans with great expectation, hoping to see again this classic totally renewed and ready to conquer in current times.
