As it could be known, in official media, the Edens Zero manga ended, having published the 293rd episode in the famous weekly serial magazine, the 30th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, on June 26. It has been 6 years since its serialization began in June 2018 and, as let it be known, the author of this work, Hiro Mashima, has never stopped publishing his series on a weekly basis for more than 26 years. In addition, a special Fairy Tail one-shot will be published in the next issue of the magazine for the first time in 7 years since its completion in 2017.

To commemorate the completion of this series, an unusual interview between Mr. Mashima, creator of Edens Zero, and the author of “Hajime no Ippo”, George Morikawa, will be published in the magazine, along with a raffle of items autographed by Mashima and Morikawa, such as illustrations and books among others. In addition, there will be a campaign in which all participants will receive a “Storage Box for All Volumes” that can hold all 33 volumes of the comic. The final volume, number 33, will be launched on August 16 of this year.
To all this, the creator of Edens Zero commented, “Thank you for all your support for so long, we’ll see you again! Keep supporting the magazine. In addition, in an interview with ORICON NEWS (Japanese news platform specialized in general entertainment), he answered that he has manuscripts saved in case he gets sick or catches a cold, and that, even with a lot of work, he manages to ensure his sleep hours, he sleeps about 7 hours a day (laughing). He also said that he spends 2 to 3 hours playing video games before going to sleep, but that when there is a lot of work there are days when he does not play at all.
Hiro Mashima is a renowned mangaka writer who is currently 47 years old and has been creating renowned works since his debut in 1998 with the 60th “Manga revelation” award from Weekly Shonen magazine. In 1999 in the same magazine he began serializing RAVE, which immediately gained popularity and became a TV anime series. Subsequently, he released more works, including his most representative work Fairy Tail (2006-2017) and the recently completed Edens Zero (2018-2024).
He is known as a “fast writer” among his followers, fans and within the industry and, although he has gone on to have several serialized works simultaneously in the past, the amazing thing is that, in his 26-year career since his debut, he has never taken a break. Especially in 2013, when he was working with one of his most famous works, “Fairy Tail“, he achieved a milestone by publishing 3 chapters in a row for two consecutive weeks in a weekly magazine, totaling 128 pages in just 2 weeks.
For those who do not know Edens Zero is a science fiction and fantasy manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima in June 2018. Subsequently, the studio J.C.Staff adapted it into an anime series in April 2021 and its two seasons consisted of 25 episodes each. Shiki, a boy who lives with machines in the dreamland Granbell, meets Rebecca, a girl who is a video content creator and becomes the first visitor in 100 years, and Happy, a blue cat. Together they embark on a journey across planets. The anime has been broadcast through the second season and has also been adapted into a video game.
