Dragon Ball Super is paused indefinitely

An indefinite pause that affects all the fans still in mourning of Dragon Ball Super, is a consecutive rain of sad facts, but in spite of that, crying is not the time now, as the song says. It is said that this pause is part of Toyotaro’s personal decision, perhaps to give himself some time to think and come back more motivated with the legacy of the great Akira Toriyama.

Dragon Ball Super Manga Viñeta 02

In the last chapters of the Dragon Ball Super manga, it is remarked in the final lines of the editorial announcements that the manga will stop in this issue to give way to an indefinite pause, something caused by the death of the master. Toyotaro is a talented man who now carries on his shoulders the legacy of one of the most relevant series in the entire history of anime, a reason enough to take a break, reflect and come back with fresh ideas and high spirits.

Sad fans post their words in forums and Twitter/X threads: “I hope he comes back soon, I didn’t know they were pausing the manga”, “Toyotaro-San, we’ll be waiting for you to resume the manga”, “Without Toriyama, will Dragon Ball Super be the same?”. Most of them express how sad they are that the manga will stop, on the other hand, there are those who question Toyotaro’s ability to carry out the project without the help of his master.

In this recent chapter of Dragon Ball Super, Goku’s personality, fans mention, continues to take changes, such as the fact that he forgets his own granddaughter, Pan. This keeps fans somewhat uneasy, even more so after Toyotaro lost his mentor. This mentioned is a reality, since Dragon Ball no longer has Toriyama as the mind behind it, something that has put much of the community in mourning, this is something that we describe in detail in this note of our page.

The differences that take Dragon Ball Z from its later installment, is something that we have noticed, we know that Akira Toriyama was behind the ideas, some designs and script structures, after all Toyotaro was free to do his work as part of the legacy, from the will of Toriyama to let him put the essence of this. It is something that many have criticized, many drop out of the saga when they get to read Dragon Ball Super. Is this right coming from the fans?

Going back to the topic of the indefinite pause of the manga, this is a necessary action, why this, for the same reason we have been discussing and that is that Toyotaro needs to rest after the tragic death of his master. You can’t call Toyotaro’s work a bad work, only that the sudden change in the essence of it may seem abysmal, but it is still Toriyama’s work that lives on like a flame in his student. We can only wait for them to resume the next issue of the manga, hopefully with more quality than before.
