The official cover of the latest compilation volume of Kai Ikada’s manga Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi (Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!) was unveiled to the public on Shueisha’s official media. In addition, on the official website of the publisher Shueisha, it was specified that the latest volume of the manga Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi is scheduled to be released in shops and bookstores in Japan on 1 November and will have a total of 194 pages.
For this occasion, the cover illustration of this volume will feature Minami Fuyuki, who is wearing a wedding dress as we have seen her in the last chapters of the book. Another curiosity of this cover is that it pays homage to the first compilation volume of the work, which has Minami in the same pose.
Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi manga revealed the official cover of its final volume
Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi, also known as Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! in the West, is a manga that is written and illustrated by Kai Ikada. Publication of this work began in September 2019 through the Shonen Jump+ service of the renowned publisher Shueisha.
Currently, the manga Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi has a total of 13 compilation volumes, which have been released by Shueisha. Thanks to the good reception of Kai Ikada’s manga by the public, an anime adaptation of the work was announced in October 2022.
The anime adaptation of the manga Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi premiered on Japanese television on 8 January this year with a total of 12 episodes. The anime was produced by the animation studios Silver Link and Blade and was legally simulcast on the Crunchyroll platform. Another detail to note is that the anime has an English dub.
The manga Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi has the following description: After moving from Tokyo to Hokkaido, high school student Tsubasa Shiki decides to explore the picturesque winter landscape he was never able to experience in the country’s capital. It only takes a moment for Tsubasa’s idealised vision of Japan’s northernmost prefecture to crumble, as the cold and frigid air quickly overwhelms him.
While trying to find his way to his new home, Tsubasa encounters Minami Fuyuki, a talkative and friendly Hokkaido native who, despite the cold, wears a short skirt. The girl wastes no time in making conversation, and Tsubasa realises that the winter weather is not too much for him.
The next day, Tsubasa is surprised to learn that Fuyuki is not only in his class, but that her seat is right next to his. Swept away by Fuyuki’s insistent advances, the young man soon finds himself captivated by both life in Hokkaido and the beautiful girl determined to get close to him. As he deepens his relationship with Fuyuki and meets other fashionable girls from his school, Tsubasa discovers that Hokkaido girls are truly adorable.
