DOOM: The Dark Ages, the new game in the epic saga, announced

DOOM is one of the most beloved and acclaimed First Person Shooter (FPS) franchises, both by critics and gamers in general, since from its first known game to its last one, it has known how to keep the attention of gamers. And now this June 9 at the Xbox: Showcase, id Software and Bethesda gave a huge surprise to fans, because as a presentation of the event, the world premiere of what will be the next title in this saga, “DOOM: The Dark Ages” was announced.

Few fans of the saga would have imagined that DOOM, that game of their childhood, would cause such an impact and serve as an introduction to an event of such relevance for Microsoft and Xbox as the Showcase, it was Phill Spencer himself who presented DOOM: The Dark Ages. In just 2 minutes he enchanted the audience by showing us the best that a franchise as emblematic as this one can offer, increasing the hype of the followers, also serving as an entrance for the arrival of the other titles in the same event and ending with the release date: 2025, and arriving “day 1” to Xbox Game Pass.

The trailer for DOOM: The Dark Ages, was full of content: from cinematics, a bit of what will be seen in gameplay, known weapons like the super shotgun and new ones like a shield, demons that the Slayer is familiar with like the Mancubus, Tyrants, Imps and Revenants, among many new ones. In addition to showing us some artifacts that will help as the robot seen in the ship where he undertook his journey in the prequel “DOOM: Eternal” and a new ally, a dragon that will help defeat enemies of great difficulty. Finally, it caught the attention of many how the game seems to be set in the medieval age, but with futuristic aspects.
