The first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie announced for release

New information about the first movie of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy (Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Jou-hen) has been revealed to the public. Today, the respective official media for the anime adaptation of the hit manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Kimetsu no Yaiba) announced that their new film project will be released in theaters in Japan on July 18, 2025. This news was accompanied by a promotional video for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle”, which has a duration of more than 5 minutes.

Importantly, the film will be shown in more than 443 theaters in Japan, setting a new record for the franchise. These screenings will also include the IMAX version. In addition, Aniplex aims for the new anime film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” to be screened outside Japan in more than 150 countries and regions, reaching more countries than the previous world tour, which only covered 145 countries and regions.

Previously, the Crunchyroll platform and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle would be coming to theaters in Latin America. Further updates on its arrival in this territory will be announced soon.

The official website of the series has also presented a new promotional image for the film. As previously mentioned, the new Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime film project, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle (Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Jou-hen), will consist of a trilogy.

Information about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba:

Kimetsu no Yaiba, also known as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in the West, is a fantasy action manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. It began publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 and reached its end in May 2020. Shueisha compiled the manga into 23 volumes in total and some time ago reported that it surpassed 150 million copies in circulation.

On April 6, 2019, the successful manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba released its anime adaptation which was composed of 4 seasons (64 episodes in total) and three movies. The animation studio Ufotable is in charge of the production of the anime under the direction of Haruo Sotozaki. The series is available legally through Crunchyroll and Netflix platforms and has an English dub.

The anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has the following description: Since the death of his father, the burden of supporting the family has fallen on the shoulders of Tanjirou Kamado. Although they live impoverished lives on a remote mountain, the Kamado’s are able to enjoy a relatively quiet and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the local village to earn some money by selling charcoal. On the way back, night falls, forcing Tanjirou to take refuge in the house of a strange man, who warns him of flesh-eating demons that lurk in the forest at night.

The next day, when he finally returns home, he finds a horrifying sight: his entire family has been slaughtered. Worse, the only survivor is his sister Nezuko, turned into a bloodthirsty demon. Consumed by rage and hatred, Tanjirou vows to avenge his family and stand by his only sister. Together with the mysterious group that calls itself the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjirou will do whatever it takes to kill the demons and protect the remnants of his beloved sister’s humanity.
