The successful multimedia franchise “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” (Kimetsu no Yaiba) has provided the public with interesting updates on its respective anime adaptation, generating excitement and enthusiasm among fans for what is to come in May of this year.
This round of updates were released by the official media of the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” series and it has been confirmed that its long-awaited sequel, titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc” (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Geiko-hen), is scheduled to premiere in Japan on May 12.

However, that’s not all, as the official media for the anime adaptation of the manga “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” has unveiled the first promotional video for the new season of the series that will cover the “Hashira Training Arc” arc of the original manga. Also, it should be noted that the promotional video features a preview of the opening theme song of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc, which will be titled “Mugen” (Dreams) and will be performed by MY FIRST STORY x HYDE.

Another detail worth noting from this round of announcements was one that has caught the attention of the public and it was confirmed that the first episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc will be a 1-hour special, a format that we have been seeing in other series such as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Oshi no Ko, among others. Finally, the official media of the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” has presented a new visual image for this new season of the series.
Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) is a fantasy action manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. It began publication in Shueisha Publishing House’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 and reached its end in May 2020. Shueisha compiled the manga into 23 volumes in total and some time ago reported that it surpassed 150 million copies in circulation.
On April 6, 2019, the manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba released its anime adaptation which was composed of 3 seasons (55 episodes in total) and a movie. The animation studio Ufotable is in charge of the production of the anime under the direction of Haruo Sotozaki. The series is available legally through Crunchyroll and Netflix platforms and has an English dub.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” takes us into a universe shrouded in rumors of terrifying demons that have been haunting humans in the forests for generations. These dark creatures have struck deep fear into the hearts of villagers, who rarely venture out of their homes once the sun goes down. However, according to legend, a demon hunter always lurks in the shadows, pursuing these bloodthirsty creatures and providing a small spark of hope.
For a young boy named Tanjiro, this legend becomes a cruel reality. After the tragic death of his father, Tanjiro becomes the sole breadwinner of his family. Despite the darkness that shrouds their lives, they find moments of fleeting happiness. However, this brief respite vanishes one day when Tanjiro discovers his family massacred. And most heartbreaking of all, his beloved sister, Nezuko, has been turned into a demon.
In the midst of this despair, a surprise emerges: Nezuko still shows signs of human emotions and thoughts. This tiny spark of humanity within her ignites hope in Tanjiro, who embarks on a mission to fight the demons and restore his sister’s humanity.
