The participation of the anime adaptation of the light novel Demon Lord 2099 (Maou 2099) at the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event released new information to the public and through a new promotional video, it was confirmed that the series is scheduled to premiere on television in Japan on October 12 of this year.
It is also relevant to mention that the promotional video shows a preview of the opening theme song, which will be performed by Shiyui and will be titled “Hollow”. Additionally, it was reported that the series will be legally broadcast in America through the Crunchyroll platform.
Demon Lord 2099 anime to premiere on October 12th
The production team of the anime Demon Lord 2099 is as follows: Ryo Ando will be in charge of directing. The animation studio J.C. Staff will be in charge of the production of the anime. Yuuichirou Momose will be in charge of writing and supervising the scripts. Ryousuke Tanigawa will be in charge of character design. Tatsuya Katou is in charge of the soundtrack composition.

Maou 2099, known as Demon Lord 2099 in the West, is a light novel written by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kureta. The light novel began to be published in Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint in January 2021.
The work has been adapted into manga by Kiiro Akashiro. The manga began its publication in the Shounen Ace Plus service of the publisher Kadokawa Shoten in November 2021.
