Fujino Omori and Suzuhito Yasuda’s light novel DanMachi (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) has presented to the public new updates about its long-awaited 20th volume. One of these updates is about the release date of this volume, which is scheduled to be published on December 13th of this year.
However, that’s not all, as the respective official media of the GA Bunko imprint has unveiled the stunning official cover of the 20th volume of the Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka light novel and specified that it will have a total of 336 pages.

The light novel DanMachi, also known as ‘Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka’ (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?), is written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. The book has been published by SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint since January 2013.
The work has been adapted into a manga by Kunieda, and has been published in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine since August 2013.
On 4 April 2015, the DanMachi light novel premiered its anime adaptation, which consisted of 4 seasons (52 episodes in total), 1 movie, 3 OVAs and a fifth season currently airing. In addition, the animation studio J.C. Staff was in charge of the production of the series under the direction of Yoshiki Yamakawa (first season) and Hideki Tachibana (following seasons).
The anime DanMachi has the following description: The story introduces us to Bell Cranel, a naïve young man with a bold dream: to become the foremost adventurer of all time. The city, populated by gods and humans alike, becomes the backdrop for his loftiest aspirations.
The plot gains momentum when Bell casually encounters Hestia, a lone goddess who seems to be the key to his dreams taking shape. With Hestia’s backing, Bell embarks on an epic quest, plunging into the terrifying depths of the urban catacombs known simply as the Dungeon. However, this deadly labyrinth is riddled with monsters and deadly dangers, and a mysterious power lurks in the shadows, challenging her bravery and determination.
Even on the surface, survival in this world shared by gods and humans is a feat that demands effort and dedication. Tensions and conflicts between these two factions are palpable, and harmony is rarely achieved. However, one undeniable truth prevails: Bell’s journey will be filled with intense emotions and unexpected challenges.
