The light novel DanMachi, also known as “Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka” (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?), is by Fujino Omori and brought to life visually by Suzuhito Yasuda’s illustrations. This fascinating story began its literary adventure in January 2013, when it saw the light of day under the GA Bunko imprint of the distinguished publishing house SB Creative.
April 4, 2015, was an exciting day for DanMachi fans, as it marked the debut of its anime adaptation. This adaptation unfolded in an impressive set of 4 seasons, which in total spanned an astounding total of 52 episodes. In addition to the captivating seasons, fans were also treated to a movie and three exciting OVAs that added depth to the story.
To bring this creative feat to fruition, the prestigious animation studio J.C. Staff took on the responsibility of bringing this exciting world to life. The first season was guided under the direction of Yoshiki Yamakawa, while subsequent seasons were masterfully orchestrated by Hideki Tachibana.

Even on the surface, survival in this world shared by gods and humans is a feat that demands effort and dedication. Tensions and conflicts between these two factions are palpable, and harmony is rarely achieved. However, one undeniable truth prevails: Bell’s journey will be filled with intense emotions and unexpected challenges.
