Dandadan is giving something to talk about with each new episode that is released, being that the fans have been delighted with the bizarre story and each of the situations in which our protagonists find themselves, being that also the variety of characters allow different scenes with some fanservise to be presented. And although several viewers can enjoy this to the fullest, not everyone can do it, more precisely the fans of China, and is that several of the scenes that can get to have, even a little “craving”, have been censored in the Asian country.
Dandadan is censored in China version
Dandadan is one of the latest series released that is giving more to talk about in the networks, especially for how entertaining are each of the released chapters and something that has also caught the attention of many is the design of several of the “waifus”, such as Momo Ayase or her grandmother Seiko Ayase. And although from this part of the world many complained about the lack of fanservice in the latter girl, apparently in China she does star in many moments where she is showing a little too much with her clothes, so you can see a clear censorship in several scenes.
As you can see, there were several moments where the Dandadan anime was censored, especially the emphasis was placed on specific moments, such as Seiko’s clothes and where she shows a little bit of her front, without being too “whimsical” at any time or that makes you think that censorship is needed. Also something that is usually seen in censorship happens with the same girl, who normally we see her smoking, but because of the censorship now she is with a candy in her hand, plus we also see some different shots between versions to show a little less “skin”.
In response to this, hundreds of users on social networks echoed what happened, especially those fans from countries where censorship was not seen in Dandadan, calling this another unnecessary move by China to “hide” things that really have nothing wrong with them. And that country usually has a very bad reputation when it comes to censorship, being that there are several examples in other anime where censorship is more than present and apparently, thanks to its “waifus”, Dandadan has been placed as a new member in this list.
For those who don’t know Dandadan, it introduces us to Momo Ayase, a high school girl who believes in ghosts, but not in aliens, clashing directly with her classmate Ken Takakura, who has the opposite thought to the young girl (he believes in aliens, but not in ghosts). In order to put an end to their conflict of ideas, they decide to make a bet: Ayase will visit a place where aliens are said to exist, while Ken goes to a place where ghosts live. But they are both surprised when they go to their respective places and realize that both beings exist, thus beginning a comical story.
