Dragon Ball

Daima’s world comes to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on July 17

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is one of the titles of this game franchise that is not exactly focused on fights, but rather a narrative title where we must recover the memories of a Goku who has lost all his memories. Exploration in “Kakarot” is key, as the protagonists travel through planets, rescuing new characters, who will help them recover their memories. Daima, was an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name where the “Z Warriors” ventured into the demonic world divided into 3 sections and will now come to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot as DLC in a few months.

Dragon Ball Daima arrives for the first time in Kakarot

After enjoying yet another Dragon Ball anime that was not the continuation of Super, but of the Majin Buu saga where we could know from the first episodes what would be addressed as the origins of Picoro and the Kaiosamas. As well as it would become “canon” the transformation of the Super Sayayin phase 4 retaking some aspects of the design observed in the Dragon Ball GT series and adding others in episode 18. Thanks to all these small huge details, the series went viral, generated divided opinions and arrived with DLC’s at the time to the ultra popular Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO in October and almost 9 months later it arrives for the first time in KAKAROT.

Sparking! ZERO, which is a purist fighting-focused title, got most of the characters as downloadable content, just like Xenoverse which had some of its characters as guests. However, the “Demon Realm” has taken many months to arrive in KAKAROT and this has a reason to be, because the title focuses mostly on exploration and Dragon Ball: Daima is a new universe, full of dangers and many new stories to discover. In this new trailer we can see the first adventures of Goku (His transformation to SSJ), Panzy, Glorio and Kaioshin as they face their first challenges in the Demon World.

Although the DLC seems to be far away, it has already confirmed its release date, and it will be officially on July 17, for all platforms, almost a year after the release of the anime adaptation of Dragon Ball: Daima written by the genius Akira Toriyama and animated by TOEI Animation studios. This information was given thanks to the official blog of the official Dragon Ball website in the past hours and by Bandai Namco itself, developers of the game franchise of Goku, Vegeta and company, also revealing that this is only the first DLC, hinting that there will be at least one future DAIMA content.

This new news leaves the window open to another world of possibilities for the Dragon Ball franchise, not only in video games, future downloadable content for its recent titles, but for its future adaptations, depending on the good, regular or bad reception it gets. At least the fans of this extensive universe continue to expect the adaptation of the “Moro Saga” and the numbers may give TOEI Animation enough motivation to start with this mythical project.
