As some of you may know, this September 13 marks two years since the original anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners made its premiere on the Netflix platform. Its captivating premise, coupled with the incredible work that the animation studio Trigger has done with this anime, managed to make it one of the most outstanding anime of the year 2022, gaining recognition that, to this day, is still present in people.
It is for this reason that the official X account of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has prepared a special detail to commemorate its second anniversary and has presented an amazing visual image that was created by Yoh Yoshinari, in charge of character design and chief animator of the series. Along with the visual, the production committee of the anime thanked the support of all the fans, stating that without their support “They would never have been able to reach the moon”.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners celebrated its 2nd anniversary
“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” is an anime series based on the video game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’. It is a spin-off set one year before the events of the game. The series consists of 10 episodes in OVA format that premiered on the Netflix platform last September 13, 2022.
The series was produced by animation studio Studio Trigger and developer CD Projekt RED, and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, Masahiko Ootsuka and Hiromi Wakabayashi. It is important to mention that the series has a English dub produced by Grande Studios, directed by Jessica Ángeles.
