Fatal Fury, the popular fighting video game, surprised in recent hours by confirming a most unexpected collaboration, and that is that Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best players in the world of soccer, will be part of the new installment of the game called Fatal Fury: City of Wolves. The announcement was made in different social networks, not only of the game, but also Cristiano Ronaldo himself shared his arrival to the title by posting a video on his popular YouTube account.

“A legendary player joins a legendary game” with that epic phrase, starts the presentation trailer of one of the characters that many will want to have in their team: ‘CR7’, which will come to the future installment of Fatal Fury. This series left the market in 1999, but until then it was one of the most popular, leaving 10 video games in a period from 1991 to almost 2000, almost 8 months before the return of Fatal Fury, the “Bicho” himself has promoted Fatal Fury: City of Wolves through his social networks.
Through his YouTube account, it was “CR7” himself who published the video of his incursion into the game, with the mysterious title “Something exciting is coming”. During the preview, where we are not revealed more than videos, we can see soccer fields, floodlights, the corridors, with many “7” (the number of his dorsal), to shortly after half reveal the name “Cristiano Ronaldo” “CR7”. At the end of the video we can see a metal door with the name “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves” engraved and being destroyed in its entirety, before revealing who will come out of the door the screen turns black.
At the end of the video you can see “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves” and its release date which will be next April 24, 2025 for next generation consoles Xbox X Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic, Sony PlayStation 5 and a release for PlayStation 4. With this, one of the best players in world soccer joins the list of playable characters of the next installment of this legendary series that started in 1991 with Fatal Fury: King Of Fighters, seemed to have an end with its last installment 1999 with First Contact and will be reborn 26 years later with City of Wolves.
