According to a report by Japanese publisher Shueisha, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular manga Chainsaw Man has surpassed the exorbitant figure of 30 million copies in circulation. It should be noted that this incredible figure takes into account the copies of the 19 volumes of the Chainsaw Man manga that Shueisha has currently released.
In addition, this news was also announced in the description of the new promotional video for the movie of the series, titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which was presented at the Jump Festa 2025 event. When the story of Chainsaw Man reached its conclusion, the publisher Shueisha announced exciting news to the fans: the work would have a second part, which began its serialization on July 12, 2022. Currently, the second part of the Chainsaw Man manga has 8 collected volumes.
October 11, 2022 marked the exciting premiere of the anime based on the manga Chainsaw Man, which consists of a total of 12 episodes. Renowned animation studio MAPPA led the production of the series, under the skilled direction of Ryu Nakayama. Chainsaw Man anime to make a comeback in 2025
At the Jump Festa 2025 event, it was announced that the next Chainsaw Man anime movie, titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, is scheduled to be released in theaters in Japan in the course of 2025. New information about the possible release date of the film will be announced in the future.
The Chainsaw Man manga has the following description: Denji is robbed of a normal teenage life, leaving him with nothing but the overwhelming debt of his deadbeat father. His only companion is his pet chainsaw demon Pochita, with whom he kills demons for money that inevitably ends up in the pockets of the yakuza.
All Denji can do is dream of a good, simple life: one with delicious food and a beautiful girlfriend by his side. But an act of greedy betrayal by the yakuza leads Denji to a brutal and untimely death, ending all hope of happiness.
Surprisingly, an ancient contract allows Pochita to merge with the deceased Denji and grant him demonic powers, turning him into a hybrid capable of transforming his body parts into chainsaws. Because Denji’s new abilities pose a significant risk to society, Makima, the Public Security Bureau’s elite demon hunter, takes him in and allows him to live as long as he obeys her orders. Guided by the promise of a happy life with an attractive woman, Denji dedicates everything and fights with all his might to make his naive dreams come true.
