There is no doubt that the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime movie, titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, is one of the biggest attractions this 2025. The publication made on the official X account of the Chainsaw Man anime about the new promotional video of the film has already reached more than 17 million people, and the video uploaded to the official YouTube channel of the MAPPA animation studio exceeded 7 million views, with more than 400 thousand likes.
This gives us an idea of the great expectation that the public has about the movie Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. Although the video was released a few weeks ago during the Jump Festa 2025 event, people continue to share their opinions and feelings about this small preview of the film. It is for this reason that the illustrator of the Oshi no Ko manga, Mengo Yokoyari, has decided to make a tribute to the anime movie Chainsaw Man and has presented an incredible illustration.
Chainsaw Man and Oshi no Ko join forces thanks to official illustration by Reze
The publication in question was made on the official X account of the illustrator of the Oshi no Ko manga, Mengo Yokoyari, and as of today the illustration has more than 1 million reproductions and more than 58 thousand likes. The image in question is starring the characters Denji and Reze, which were adapted to Mengo Yokoyari’s drawing style.
Recall that at the Jump Festa 2025 event it was announced that the Chainsaw Man movie will be released in theaters in Japan in the course of this 2025. The animation studio MAPPA describes the movie Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc as follows: Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with the heart of a demon, and is now part of the demon hunters of Special Division 4. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a coffee shop.

Chainsaw Man is a shonen manga created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, who is in charge of both writing and illustration. The manga debuted in December 2018 in the pages of the weekly magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, under the Shueisha publishing label and ended in the month of December 2020, counting 11 volumes published in total.
When the story of Chainsaw Man reached its conclusion, the publisher Shueisha announced exciting news to the fans: the work would have a second part, which began its serialization on July 12, 2022. Currently, the second part of the Chainsaw Man manga has 8 compilation volumes.
October 11, 2022 marked the exciting premiere of the anime based on the Chainsaw Man manga, which consists of a total of 12 episodes. Renowned animation studio MAPPA led the production of the series, under the skilled direction of Ryu Nakayama. The series is currently available legally in America on the Crunchyroll platform and has an English dub available.
The anime Chainsaw Man has the following description: Denji is robbed of a normal teenage life, leaving him with nothing but the overwhelming debt of his deadbeat father. His only companion is his pet chainsaw demon Pochita, with whom he kills demons for money that inevitably ends up in the pockets of the yakuza.
All Denji can do is dream of a good, simple life: one with delicious food and a beautiful girlfriend by his side. But an act of greedy betrayal by the yakuza leads Denji to a brutal and untimely death, ending all hope of happiness.
Surprisingly, an ancient contract allows Pochita to merge with the deceased Denji and grant him demonic powers, turning him into a hybrid capable of transforming his body parts into chainsaws. Because Denji’s new abilities pose a significant risk to society, Makima, the Public Security Bureau’s elite demon hunter, takes him in and allows him to live as long as he obeys her orders. Guided by the promise of a happy life with an attractive woman, Denji dedicates everything and fights with all his might to make his naive dreams come true.
