The anime adaptation of the manga Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) has presented to the public some announcements about its expected second season in its live presentation at the Jump Festa 2025 event. According to the report made at this event, more information about the new installment of the Chained Soldier anime will be released in the course of the year 2025.
Chained Soldier anime to return in 2025 with new Information
Without going into too much detail about a possible preview of what’s to come in its second season, the anime Chained Soldier announced that voice actress Kana Hanazawa will be in charge of playing Ren Yamashiro and the character design was presented.
But that’s not all, as it was also reported that the second season of the anime Chained Soldier will have a new production team: Masafumi Tamura will replace Junji Nishimura and Gorou Kuji and will be in charge of directing the second season of the anime. Animation studio Passione will replace Seven Arcs and will be in charge of production. Keiya Nakano will take Hiroyuki Yoshii’s place and will be in charge of character design.

Mato Seihei no Slave, also known as Chained Soldier in the West, is a manga spanning the action, fantasy and harem genres, and is written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura. The work began publication in Shueisha publisher Shueisha’s Jump Comics+ digital magazine in January 2019. To date, Shueisha Publishing has released a total of 16 compilation volumes.
On January 4 of this year, the Chained Soldier manga released its respective anime adaptation, which was composed of a total of 12 episodes. The anime studio Seven Arcs was in charge of its production and it was legally broadcast through the HIDIVE platform.
The anime Chained Soldier has the following description: The story places us in a Japan affected by the opening of portals to a parallel dimension known as “Mato”. In this scenario, a mysterious phenomenon called “Peaches” arises, which grants extraordinary abilities exclusively to women. However, along with this new power, the fearsome “Yomotsu Shuuki” appear, beings responsible for unleashing devastating disasters.
Faced with this imminent threat, the government establishes the select “Anti-Demon Corps”, an elite unit composed of women gifted with the gift of “Peaches”. In the midst of this situation, Yuuki Wakura, an ordinary high school student, is drawn into this fascinating and dangerous universe when he gets lost in a Mato portal.
His fate becomes intertwined with that of Kyouka Uzen, the leader of the Seventh Unit of the “Anti-Demon Corps.” Recognizing the latent potential in Yuuki and the need for his collaboration to enhance the power of the “Peaches”, she makes him a singular proposal: join the corps as her “ally”. This alliance promises to lead Yuuki down unexpected paths, full of challenges and revelations that could prove more enriching than he could have ever imagined.
