Castlevania is one of the most emblematic titles in existence and now it has become a trend again due to an interesting fact: Anastasia Bliznyuk, a renowned Olympic rhythmic gymnast, who has won a multitude of awards in several prestigious competitions around the world, has been compared to Carmilla, one of the popular characters of the franchise. Bliznyuk has been noted for her achievements, among which are her gold medals won at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games and is currently serving as coach of China’s rhythmic gymnastics team.

Anastasia Bliznyuk has for some time now become the coach of the Chinese rhythmic gymnastics team, and under her guidance, the team achieved great results such as winning the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Beyond her sporting awards, Anastasia Bliznyuk became a phenomenon thanks to her physical resemblance to Carmilla, one of the Castlevania characters.
And as you can see in the different images shared on social networks, the resemblance between the two is more than evident, being that they have a very similar physical build, but above all the first thing that jumps out is her hair: long and in a white color that stands out from others, so the comparisons quickly became present throughout the internet.

Anastasia Bliznyuk was born in Zaporiyia, Ukraine, in 1994. From an early age she showed an innate talent for rhythmic gymnastics, which took her to the top of the sport, being part of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team and winning multiple medals in world and European championships, leaving a mark in the history of rhythmic sport. However, as a result of the tragic situation that is happening, the doors of major international competitions were closed for Russian athletes and now serves as a coach of the Chinese rhythmic gymnastics team.
