One of the most successful series of this decade, “Squid Game” will have a collaboration with one of the most successful games of today “Call of Duty”. The union will take place through the most recent release Black Ops 6 and will arrive at the beginning of next year, being this the first collaboration of the year for Call of Duty: Warzone and surely one of the most successful for video games of the Battle Royale genre. The heyday of “The Squid Game” was gigantic worldwide.
Squid Game phenomenon coming soon to Call of Duty
Call of Duty has officially announced a collaboration with The Squid Game through a preview through all its official networks in recent hours. In this one you can see a soldier entering what was a combat, now reigning silence, but suddenly looks down to the ground and raises the same card we see at the beginning of the iconic series with the geometric figures (Circle, Triangle, Square).
The trailer ends with the Squid Game song and some tentacles slowly moving across the screen to end with the name “Call of Duty” and the release date which will be in January 2025, where the same rawness seen in the South Korean series is expected. Although not much more was presented as part of this announcement, fans are not only expecting the arrival of the classic outfits seen in the series, but also exclusive game modes that are Squid Game themed. Now we will have to wait for more details of this unexpected collaboration to be announced as the weeks go by.
Squid Game or “The Squid Game” consecrated the South Korean film and series industry for its huge success in the West, but especially in Latin America, being in the top 3 and top 10 series for months and months. The survival horror series arrived as a 2021 release on the Netflix video streaming platform and from its first week it was a phenomenon, critically acclaimed for its high level of intensity, drama, suspense, but above all its uncommon rawness and violence in almost all its scenes.
The Show launched in 2021, managed to have a spin-off and mini video games thanks to the fact that it was the most watched series in the history of Netflix, unfortunately that were not what was expected for its loyal fans who are waiting for its successful return and, while waiting for the second season arrives. Now with this collaboration with Call of Duty they hope to enter a little better into the world of video games with one of the most important franchises of all.
