The remake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which was released last month, has already become one of the most controversial video games of this year. It has received countless criticisms due to the short length of its campaign, the reuse of maps from the previous installment and the impressive size it takes up in console memories, despite not containing that much content in the first place.
However, many of those complaints relate to the single-player mode and many fans only buy the new Call of Duty installments to try out the online multiplayer mode. Activision is aware of this, so they have just released this trailer with information on Modern Warfare 3 Season 1, including the premiere of the anticipated Warzone mode.
This is the First Season of multiplayer content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Published on the official Call of Duty social networks, this trailer shows us all the content that will arrive in Modern Warfare 3 during its first season. First, they showed the new maps of the conventional team multiplayer mode. These are: Greece, Rio and Meat for 6-team matches, and Training Center for 2 vs. 2 teams. These maps look great and are full of detail, so it looks like there will be plenty of variety to choose from.
The trailer then goes on to demo Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s new Zombies mode. This has been praised since before its release, due to its varied selection of weapons, bizarre giant monsters and new open-world map. While the trailer doesn’t highlight any new additions to the Zombies mode, we can assume that they will be adding new maps, weapons and monsters in the near future. But if you decide to play Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer, you shouldn’t miss out on this entertaining mode.
Finally, the trailer concludes with the anticipated first look at the new Warzone mode, with the tagline “Jump into Urzikstan”, confirming that this will be the new Battle Royale map. Since 2020 that this massive game mode has become one of the most popular parts of all Call of Duty, to the point that it is giving good competition to Fortnite and many people only buy new installments of the franchise to be able to try it. The new Urzikstan map looks huge and detailed, and it was even confirmed that you will be able to find Dark Aether Rifts, where you will face enemies in Zombies mode to get exclusive weapons.
All this content from Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will arrive next December 6, as a 100% free content update. This will surely add more hours of fun to this controversial video game and it is appreciated that Activision, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer are trying to improve this installment. But will it be enough to save its tarnished reputation in the eyes of the general public? In time we will know.
