The official media for the anime adaptation of the light novel “Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro” (Butareba -The Story of a Man Who Turned into a Pig-) has surprised fans by unveiling the cover illustration for its Blu-Ray/DVD compilation volume number #3. As on previous occasions, the cover illustration for this package will feature the protagonist of the series’ story, Jess Yesma, as the main face of the cover.
It is worth noting that this beautiful cover illustration that will feature Jess Yesma as the main character was created by Narumi Kurahashi, the character designer of the TV anime “Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro“.

According to the information provided on the official website of the anime “Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro“, this volume is scheduled to be released in Japanese stores on February 28th of this year and will include episodes 5 and 6 of the series.
In addition, this package will feature a CD that will surely please fans of the adorable “Jess Yesma“, as it will contain an ASMR narrated by voice actress Tomori Kusunoki, who plays Jess in the series. It should be noted that the Blu-Ray version of the series will be available at a price of 7,700 yen, while the DVD version will be available at a price of 6,600 yen.
The anime adaptation of the light novel “Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro” (Butareba -The Story of a Man Who Turned into a Pig-) was composed of a total of 12 episodes, which will be distributed in 6 Blu-Ray/DVD volumes. The series began broadcasting on Japanese television on October 7, 2023 and reached its end on February 6 of this year.
The series was produced by the animation studio Project No.9 under the direction of Masayuki Takahashi and was legally simulcast on the Crunchyroll platform.
“Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro” is a fascinating story that plunges us into a fantasy world where an arrogant scientist experiences a radical change when he wakes up in the middle of a muddy pigsty, having lost all memory except for the memory of having eaten a raw pig’s liver. To his surprise, his whole life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers that he is now a pig himself and finds himself in an unknown country where beings can use magic.
In the midst of his confusion, the protagonist finds support in Jess, a young Yesma, a discriminated class of servants who possess telepathic abilities and wear silver necklaces around their necks. Despite the prejudice and social barriers he faces, Jess becomes his ally and protector, defying the conventions of his society.
As the pig struggles to understand his new reality and his own prejudices towards Jess, he realizes that she faces dangers beyond what he imagined. Although his initial desire is to seek a solution that will return him to his human form, the pig realizes that he cannot abandon his kind savior to her fate.
