At some point in the history of the impressive and successful “Bright Memory” a version for smartphones had to be launched and it couldn’t come at a better time, January 2025 or the month that will have the least number of “attractive” titles this year. The story of Bright Memory began in 2020 and it was precisely an unattractive title, however, with its first previews and first installment it enchanted its users, showing that an independent studio can develop impressive video games. The second “Infinite” of 2022 was even better than the first one, integrating new mechanics and a more solid narrative, and now this same sequel will arrive to mobile systems sooner rather than later.
Bright Memory’s second installment now available for iOS and Android
PLAYSIM and FYQD-Studio announced in recent hours that the second part of the cyberpunk genre “Infinite” would have a fully adapted version for iOS and Android. The original version implemented NVIDIA RTX technology, Ray-tracing, NVIDIA DLSS and received the first Unreal Dev grant from Epic Games, therefore, it was one of the indies with the best graphics technology of its time and when it is released next January 17 it will also be released on mobile systems.
FYQD-Studio informed through its official X|Twitter account that Bright Memory: Infinite is a PC port and will be compatible with Xbox controllers, although it will have its own customizable on-screen controls, the title will support a maximum of 120 frames per second on Android devices (it did not inform the FPS on iOS, but it is estimated to be 60) and will be priced at $4.99 dollars.
PLAYSIM and FYQD-Studio’s game since its first part in 2020 was characterized by impressive graphics that surprised from its previews, however, the first part was not supported by Sony PlayStation and was released only on Xbox starting low sales. But thanks to its enormous quality it ended up being successful in the digital store, released only for Microsoft’s next-gen, Xbox Series X|S, and it was an FPS action title of very few hours, with few puzzles, an easy to understand narrative and lots of shooting.
Protagonist Sheila’s adventures continued for 2022, in Bright Memory: Infinite this time being multiplatform and featuring once again a post-apocalyptic premise, setting the title in the year 2036, where a black hole appears in the sky. Sheila, who belongs to the Supernatural Science Research Organization (SSRO) will be in charge of investigating and preventing rival factions from discovering the dangerous secrets around the black hole before they can contain them. As we progress through the story, we will discover that the holes will change the future of Earth and the protagonist forever.
Bright Memory: Infinite was even more acclaimed than the first installment not only for its complexity, but for having its own version for Sony’s PlayStation 5, also having a longer duration, the same solid narrative and more complex equipment in conjunction with its first DLC. Both the first and the second installment of Bright Memory have the peculiarity of having been developed by a single person, Xiancheng Zeng, the sole responsible of FYQD Studio.
