The anime Bocchi the Rock! has the following description: Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou, lonely and anxious to socialize with others, spends her time playing guitar. One fateful day, Bocchi meets extroverted drummer Nijika Ijichi, who invites her to join the band Kessoku when their guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, runs away before their first gig. Soon after, Bocchi meets her latest partner, the brilliant bassist Ryou Yamada.
Although their first performance together is mediocre, the girls are strengthened by their shared love of music, and are soon rejoined by Kita. Bocchi and her classmates, who find happiness in performing, put all their efforts into improving as musicians while making the most of their fleeting high school days.
