Currently, the manga Bocchi the Rock! is still in publication and has 6 compilation volumes published in total. Thanks to the good reception from readers, an anime adaptation for Aki Hamaji’s manga was announced for production in early 2021.

The anime adaptation of the manga Bocchi the Rock! premiered on television in Japan on October 8, 2022, consisting of a total of 12 episodes. This series was produced by the renowned CloverWorks animation studio and was legally simulcast in America through the Crunchyroll platform.

One fateful day, Bocchi meets extroverted drummer Nijika Ijichi, who invites her to join the band Kessoku when their guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, runs away before their first gig. Soon after, Bocchi meets her latest partner, the brilliant bassist Ryou Yamada.

Although their first performance together is mediocre, the girls are strengthened by their shared love of music, and are soon rejoined by Kita. Bocchi and her classmates, who find happiness in performing, put all their efforts into improving as musicians while making the most of their fleeting high school days.
