Blue Exorcist” presents us with a universe where humans and demons are intertwined in a complex dance of dualities. Assiah and Gehenna represent two separate, yet inextricably connected spheres. Traversal between these worlds is facilitated through possession, evoking reminiscences of ancient legends of specters. However, Satan himself, ruler of Gehenna, is trapped by his inability to find a suitable host. This forced imprisonment in his own realm drives him to a desperate act: sending his own son, in the hope that he will grow up to become a vessel capable of harboring the demon king, thus gestating his longing to conquer Assiah.

This story follows the journey of Rin Okumura, a seemingly ordinary teenager, albeit one with a penchant for trouble. However, his existence takes a radical turn when he finds himself immersed in a demonic ambush. The revelation that awaits him completely changes his perspective: Rin is, in reality, Satan’s own son. From that moment on, a crossroads between loyalty to his demonic lineage and the desire to protect Assiah unfolds. Determined not to join the king of Gehenna, Rin embarks on a path of training to become an exorcist, in order to defend his world alongside his brother Yukio.
