Azur Lane is a video game that has managed to stand out in recent years for a variety of aspects, but it is undoubtedly its “waifus” that have managed to keep the game alive and very present within the community of fans of gacha titles, with new girls appearing constantly. But now, with the release of a new set of outfits for some of its characters, fans began to accuse the title of copying another great of the genre, The Goddess of Victory: Nikke, especially for the movement of the back area of one of them, which is very reminiscent of the Shift-Up title.
Musashi’s movement in Azur Lane is very reminiscent of the Nikkei girls.
A few days ago Azur Lane presented a new set of outfits that would be coming to the game in the future, and these have as protagonist several of the recognized “waifus” of the title, all following the line of the game, where the “craving” is the main attraction. But there was one of them that caught the attention of the fans, we are referring to Musashi, who debuted a new bunny style outfit, which stood out due to her voluptuous body, although what was striking was her animation, which was very reminiscent of what was seen in another gacha style game, The Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
And as can be seen in the official animation shared on Twitter/X Musashi is on her back playing a classic fairground game in which she shoots at targets to get a prize, but due to the angle of the camera and the fact that she is performing this action, she caught the attention of many. This is because in Nikke the main gameplay system is to control a “waifu” who is on her back shooting at enemies while defending herself, very similar to how Musashi was seen here, even the movement of the rear area is very similar, something for which Nikke is already recognized in the genre.
Upon seeing this, many fans highlighted the similarity between the two games, being that the resemblance is really very great, so much so that this Musashi skin could become a character belonging more to Nikke than Azur Lane where she really appears. Likewise, and although the resemblance is more than evident, many point out how Azur Lane constantly announces new “waifus” to its repertoire, so if any action or animation is similar to another game it may just be a coincidence.
Azur Lane is one of the most popular gacha-style video games that exist in the market, being at the same time one of the longest-lived, since it was officially launched in 2017, and during all this time it has delivered a lot of content to its players. In this title the player will become the “Commander” of a group of naval ships and submarines, with which he will fight against enemies in varied maritime scenarios, being that the main attraction that the game has is how these vehicles are represented in cute and varied “waifus”. Azur Lane is available for free download on iOS and Android mobile devices.
