You can now play with the mythical characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender and each one represents one of the elements: Aang (Air), Katara (Water) Zuko (Fire) and Toph (Earth). Due to its excellent art style, this collaboration was very well received by fans, who were surprised when they noticed this incredible detail in the Toph Beifong model.

As you probably remember, in Avatar: TLA, Toph is a talented master of ground control. She is blind from birth, so she uses the vibrations on the ground to fight very efficiently. In Fortnite, her blindness was represented in her character model in a very clever way. This makes their expressions seem more natural. However, Toph’s case is completely different and much more appropriate.
When Toph makes a gesture or animation in Fortnite, his eyes do not focus on the player due to his blindness. This may seem like a crude or unnecessary detail, but the fact that Toph is blind and yet a powerful character is one of the reasons she became a fan-favorite character in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Not to mention that she’s an excellent example of good wholesome representation of people with blindness. If the developers of Fortnite had not taken this factor into account, they would have been criticized by fans of the series and the character.
On the other hand, this shouldn’t surprise us at all. After all, Fortnite is a huge and super successful video game that has already had hundreds of amazing collaborations with different intellectual properties from film, television and other video games. Star Wars, Marvel, God of War, Halo, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dragon Ball and many more had been represented to perfection with skins and items that were clearly designed by people who know a lot about them and included hundreds of amazing details like this one. This time it was Avatar: The Last Airbender’s turn and we can say that the people at Epic Games did a good job again.
Of course, on the other hand, many people made memes and made fun of the fact that Toph can use firearms despite being blind, which is quite strange. However, it should be remembered that these are only skins and it would be absurd to make factors like this affect the gameplay of a video game like Fortnite. It’s much more logical and ingenious to represent Toph’s blindness through aesthetic details such as his gaze, and it worked out extremely well for them.
