Currently, the “Jujutsu Kaisen 2024 exhibit” is being held in Shibuya, Japan, where fans who attend will be able to see valuable information such as the story behind the manga creation process using digital methods in conjunction with commentary by Gege Akutami. It will also show how stories, characters and illustrations are created and refined, as well as storyboards and drafts before they are processed as final manuscripts.

Precisely for this important event, a “Q&A” was held, that is, a series of questions related to the story to Gege Akutami, who talked about different interesting points and gave us some information about Jujutsu Kaisen. One of them is that he confirmed that the current arc of the manga, which is “Shinjuku Showdown Arc“, is the climax of the story, he also mentioned something about this being the final arc or the end of the saga. Upon reading the Jujutsu Kaisen creator’s statements, a lot of conversation began to be generated about whether this meant that the story was already approaching its conclusion.

Something that made fans doubt that the end of Jujutusu Kaisen is near, is that relevant events that have been mentioned earlier in the story, such as “The Merger“, which is the name given to the event where Tengen mixes with all of humanity, a plan that Kenjaku wanted to carry out, have not yet happened. Other users even speculated whether a second part of the manga would be possible in the future. However, it is very likely that the denouement of this manga is very close, but we don’t have any confirmed date for this yet.

The “Shinjuku Showdown Arc” has been full of intense fights between many characters and Sukuna, the king of curses, in an attempt to defeat him, so it has kept readers on the edge of their seats, waiting every week for a new chapter to be published and to be able to follow this fight, as well as to know if there will finally be a character who will be able to defeat this great villain. So we will have to continue reading the story until the end to find out how Gege Akutami decides to conclude this exciting manga and to know what the future holds for the characters, especially for our protagonist Yuji Itadori.
