ATRI: My Dear Moments is a visual novel that was released in 2020 and a few years after its premiere, it was confirmed that it would have an anime adaptation in this season in July 2024, scoring as one of the candidates to be one of the best series in the romance genre. In addition, many fans have been surprised, since a new video trailer was presented, which not only increases the hype, but also confirms the premiere date of this series: July 13 of this year.
ATRI: My Dear Moments releases new trailer for its anime to be released on July 13
This Tuesday, June 4, a new trailer for the anime adaptation of “ATRI: My Dear Moments” was released on Aniplex’s official YouTube account, showing that it will be a joint work with Aniplex.EXE, surprising with an animation, and reiterating that TROYCA (IDOLiSH7, Re: Creators) is the animation studio in charge of the anime, that Sony Music Labs Inc. will be in charge of the sound and confirming its release date: July 13, 2024.
In the preview we can see aspects very close to those of the visual novel, we appreciate Natsuki on his boat and exploring the confines of the sea in his submarine, the locations that have been buried by water, ATRI being found by the protagonist of the story and being greeted by some girls on the dock. As well as her first approach with animals and other human beings, halfway through the trailer we can see the scene where she confesses to him that “it will be her leg”.
The second part of the preview shows flashes of what will happen in the anime: Atri’s relationship with other characters, her cooking skills, her visit to the school and her abduction. One of the things that are not shown are more hints of the love relationship between the main characters, so we will have to wait for another trailer or until the climax of the anime to witness it. “ATRI: My Dear Moments” tells the story of a near future where the sea level has left much of civilization beneath it. Natsuki Ikaruga, who as a child lost his mother and one of his legs in an accident, returns to a village to find his farmhouse swallowed by the sea. Now with no family and an inheritance of a boat, a submarine and many debts courtesy of his grandmother, the only hope to get rid of these is to set sail to some abandoned ruins where the old woman’s laboratory was located. To his surprise, he will not find jewels, but a girl sleeping in a coffin at the bottom of the sea: Atri.
ATRI is an amazing humanoid robot that has many human emotions, in gratitude for saving her from this confinement, ATRI reveals to Natsuki “I want to fulfill every last order my master gives me. Until I do! I’ll be your leg!”. In this city devastated by the ocean and which will gradually be swallowed by the sea, a more than unforgettable summer is about to begin for Natsuki and ATRI.
