The anime world has spoken, and for the second year in a row, Anna Yamada, the female protagonist of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu (The Dangers in My Heart), has been chosen as the best waifu of the year at the prestigious Anime 2024 Awards. The charismatic and charming Anna once again conquered the hearts of fans, surpassing other iconic heroines of Japanese animation.
This recognition was carried out through a massive vote in which 41,430 people participated. The competition was tight, with renowned characters vying for the coveted title. Anna Yamada prevailed over strong rivals such as Kurumi Tokisaki of Date a Live V, who came in second place with a difference of just 0.14% of the votes.
