On the official website for the anime adaptation of the light novel Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go by Dereru Tonari no Alya-san (Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian) new updates about its first Blu-Ray/DVD volume were presented to the public. Also, for fans of the character Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou there is a special surprise and that is that this beautiful waifu will be the main face of the cover and back cover of this volume.
It should be noted that the cover illustrations of the first Blu-Ray/DVD volume of the anime Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go by Dereru Tonari no Alya-san were created by Momoco, the illustrator of the original light novel, and Yuuhei Murota, the one in charge of the character design of the TV anime. As mentioned above, both covers will feature Alisa Mikhailovna.
According to the information presented in the official media of the anime adaptation of the light novel Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go by Dereru Tonari no Alya-san, the first Blu-Ray/DVD volume is scheduled to be released in Japan on September 25 of this year and will include the first 4 episodes of the series, plus bonus footage. Additionally, it was specified that the Blu-Ray version will be available at a price of 14,300 yen, while the DVD version will be available at a price of 12,100 yen.
Another detail to highlight is that this volume will have a limited edition Blu-Ray version, which will be available at a price of 36,300 yen. This edition will come with a 1/7 scale figure that will be inspired by the character Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, in addition to the benefits of the standard edition such as an original artwork, special booklet, among other things.
The respective anime adaptation of Dereru Tonari no Alya-san’s light novel Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go premiered on television in Japan on July 3 this year and will consist of a total of 12 episodes. The series is legally simulcast in the territories North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East and CIS through the Crunchyroll platform and will feature a English dub.
The production team for the Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go anime Dereru Tonari no Alya-san is as follows: Ryota Ito will oversee the direction and composition of the series. As mentioned above, renowned animation studio Doga Kobo, renowned for its work on series such as “Oshi no Ko” and “Plastic Memories,” will be in charge of the anime’s production. Yuhei Murota will be the animation director and will also be in charge of character design for the anime. Hiroaki Tsutsumi is in charge of composing the soundtrack for the anime.

“Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san,” also known as ‘Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian’ in the West, is a romantic comedy light novel written by Sunsunsun and illustrated by Momoco. Publication of the light novel began in Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint of Kadokawa Publishing House in February 2021 and to date, the series consists of 8 published volumes.
The work has been adapted into manga by Tenamachi Saho. The manga has been published in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket service since October 2022. It is worth noting that the literary franchise managed to exceed 2.5 million copies in circulation and thanks to the good reception of the public, in March 2023 it was announced the production of an anime adaptation.
