And, as an example of this, a fanart has been going viral, not only because it stars one of the most beloved “waifus” of all, as is Fern, but the curious thing is that the artist joined it with a completely different game to what we have seen in the work, Plants vs Zombies.

Through Twitter/X has been going viral an old image made by the artist @Clov_erD featuring one of the most beloved girls that the work Sousou no Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) has given us, in this case the adorable Fern. But what has made this a very shareable image is the fact that he joined the young girl with one of the most popular video games of all time, Plants vs. Zombies, in this case merging her with one of the plants of the title, in a perfect combination for a curious detail.
The artist originally decided to join Fern with the “Humoseta”, something that for those who are not familiar with the video game will not understand at first, but that makes a lot of sense to know how the plant is, not only in its color palette, but also its face has a strong resemblance to the “waifu” of Sousou no Frieren. As you can see, the purple color is very representative in both characters, both in the girl that is the tone of her hair and eyes, and in the plant on the top of her head, but undoubtedly the most impressive in their resemblance is their facial expression, as both have a “pouting” grimace.
Although as we mentioned, this image was shared some time ago by the same artist, but it was a Twitter/X account that not only published the original image, but also shows Fern next to the Humoseta for a greater visual reference of the union between the Sousou no Frieren character and the plant. Thanks to this new viralization, users from all over the world were quick to comment on how interesting this image is, especially how it manages to perfectly unite two worlds so different, but with such similar characters.
Sousou no Frieren is one of the stories that most impacted fans around the world, which was written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. In the year 2020 the manga would begin to be distributed by the renowned Shonen Sunday magazine, under the Shogakukan publishing label, quickly reaching a mass audience that could enjoy the story of Frieren, which today has 12 volumes. In addition, the success of this manga was such that in 2023 its anime was released, which managed to become one of the best in recent years.
In Sousou no Frieren we will find a captivating story that gives a twist to the classic adventures of heroes, since in this case we will see a group of adventurers who have already finished their journey. Here we will meet Frieren, the elf mage of the group who, because of her race, ages much slower than her companions, so she will inevitably see them leave this world first. But her adventure continues and we will see how she continues with her life, but remembering her past, in this case accompanied by her new apprentice Fern, in a beautiful new story for this elf.
