In the world of anime, fans often fall in love with waifus for their beauty, skills or charming personality, however, not everything is perfect, some of these adored heroines lack a crucial talent for everyday life, knowing how to cook. And although their intentions are usually noble, to prepare a meal for the person they love or to show their affection, the result is usually catastrophic, instead of delicious dishes, they create real biological weapons capable of making even the most resistant protagonist collapse in the anime.
Anime Waifus whose recipes should be banned
In the world of anime, waifus often win over fans with their beauty, personality or unique abilities. However, there is one area in which some of them are truly terrifying, the kitchen, what starts as an innocent attempt to prepare a delicious dish, can end in a disaster capable of toppling even the most resistant protagonists. And today, we’ll explore 5 anime waifus whose dishes are deadlier than any villain.
Yor Forger (Spy × Family) – The lethal Minestrone
Yor, one of the protagonists of the anime Spy × Family, leads a double life as a public servant and elite assassin under the name of Thorn Princess, however, when it comes to cooking, Yor is a real threat, her culinary skills are so lousy that her dishes cause instant fainting. One of her famous dishes, the Minestrone, includes ingredients such as bones and fish heads, causing the immediate collapse of those who dare to try it, although Loid and Yuri manage to survive, and for those who know her skills, seeing Yor approaching the kitchen is cause for real terror.
Tae Shimura (Gintama) – Dark edible matter
Tae, Shinpachi’s older sister in Gintama, is almost a clinical case, her cooking is not only inedible, but she literally creates the notorious dark matter, a substance so toxic that even cyborgs can’t resist it. Her food has been mistaken for alien chemicals and has been documented to cause severe burns on contact, although she does not use her horrible cooking in actual combat, her ability to create homemade biohazards is such that the Shinsengumi respect (and fear) her almost like a weapon of mass destruction.
Seraphim (Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?) – Pot melting saucers
Seraphim, the vampire ninja in Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?, is an expert in combat, but a total disaster in the kitchen, her culinary attempts are so disastrous that they cause Ayumu, the main character, to faint immediately. It is said that her dishes are capable of melting not only the taste buds, but even the very cooking pots where they are prepared. Despite her passion for learning to cook, her lack of talent turns every meal into a potential biohazard.
Shion (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) – Toxic stove with poison resistance included
Shion, Rimuru’s charismatic secretary in Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken, is another example of disastrous love for cooking, she puts her heart into every dish she prepares, but the result is so toxic that those who taste it could develop resistance to dangerous poisons. Ironically, Shion is so beloved that her friends risk trying her creations, knowing full well that they could end up incapacitated or seriously ill. If good intentions were a saving ingredient, Shion would be a five-star chef.
Mizuki Himeji (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu) – The saucer that melts the tongue
At first glance, Mizuki’s dishes in the anime are a dream, they look beautiful, smell good and seem worthy of a banquet, however, one bite is enough to unleash a nightmare, her meals emanate a dark and terrifying aura that literally melts the tongues of those who taste them. His destructive power has been compared to acids such as aqua regia and hydrochloric acid, the most tragic thing is that Mizuki cooks with love and passion, but without tasting his creations, he ends up using excessively nutritious ingredients that are lethal to the human palate.
Although these waifus win our hearts in every episode in the anime, it is clear that their talents do not include cooking. Whether it’s due to unbridled passion, lack of technique or just a supernatural touch of culinary mayhem, each one has shown that the real danger doesn’t always come from battle, but from an innocent I made you something to eat, sometimes, love enters through the stomach, but with these five, it’s best to keep your distance.
